Apacer Technology, a company who's name we don't hear to often has earlier this week released a couple of noteworthy DDR3 solutions. The Aeolus series of overclocking-friendly memory includes two 2GB kits with modules certified to work at 1600 and 1800 MHz.
In addition to using speedy 1Gbit DRAM from Micron the Aeolus modules come equipped with a patented heatsink which covers the module, feature an active cooler and is claimed to lower the chips' temperature by as much as 20 degrees Celsius. Both the 1600 and 1800 MHz Aeolus modules come with support for Intel Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP) and, at their designated speed, can work with 7-7-7-20 timings.
The new 2GB DDR3 kits are backed by a lifetime warranty.
